We are actively doing everything we can to add value to the suppliers who join us. Recognition, exposure, awards and accreditations all contribute toward this. The more people that know about Local e Sourced – the more people we can reach!

We won the ‘Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year’ for the Midlands region at the prestigious Great British Entrepreneurial Awards. However, as a result of our efforts in such a short space of time we were chosen over 3 other start-ups who had been trading longer than we had. Within 5 months we became an award-winning marketplace. The judges could see our vision, our values and our potential – we hope you can too.
We were also nominated for a Business Evolution Award by Zokit. Once again, we told our story and in a category of 20 other nationwide start-ups, we caught the judges’ eyes. They recognised our efforts and we won! Furthermore, in 6 months, we’d become multi award-winning! These accolades instil consumer confidence, and this is passed on to our valued suppliers. A multi award winning platform with award winning suppliers and products!
Local e Sourced was also selected by Theo Paphitis himself as one of his #SBS (Small Business Sunday) winners. However, throughout 10 years of Small Business Sunday, we join only 13 other Herefordshire-based businesses whom we share the accolade with. Furthermore, we are continually increasing the credibility of the platform to make it all the more worthwhile for others, including you, to join us.
We join 33 other finalists in the Midlands region at the Farm Shop & Deli Awards 2021 including our suppliers, Two Farmers! The team and I have been invited to the finals on the 5th July. The Farm Shop & Deli Show is the flagship event which brings together the great and good of the speciality market to celebrate the very best of British produce, which returns this July (5th – 7th July, NEC Birmingham).
Local e Sourced was chosen as 1 of 3 finalists for the new ‘Net Hero’ Small Award! The category had launched in the run-up to this November’s UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). The category recognises small firms demonstrating exceptional commitment to environmental sustainability. We’re so proud to have won this award! We are also pleased that this particular facet of Local e Sourced has been recognised.
We have great pleasure in sharing with you that we’re finalists in the ‘Best Local Food Retailer’ category. A fabulous achievement as it really does sum up what we are – a local food retailer – and so much more besides! It is fantastic to be recognised locally at the Hereford Times Food and Farming Awards. Hopes of Longtown & Tilly’s Farm Shop are our fellow finalists – huge congratulations both, we’re proud to be named alongside you!
We’re very proud to announce that we are finalists at the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce Business Awards! As a start-up during the pandemic last year, we are delighted to have earned the recognition of the shortlisting judges to have put Local e Sourced forward as a finalist for ‘Most Promising New Business’. We’ll find out the result in September – we can’t wait! Being only 15 months old as an entity we are really proud of this achievement.
We won ‘Best Rural Retail Business’ at the Rural Business Awards Midlands region & we were also finalist in ‘The Sustainability & Environmental Impact Award’ category too! Very proud to be so successful at the awards & keep building our profile for our suppliers & our customers. We are now in the National Finals which takes place in February where we’re up against all the other regional winners!
As climate change becomes an ever-pressing problem, the Rural Business Awards want to recognise those businesses who are tackling environmental issues within their activities or organisation. Local e Sourced displayed a strong sense of environmental & social responsibility. It is essential that our actions are sustainable – having a long term impact rather than a short term one. We’re proud to have been named a finalist!
Setting up in March 2020 and launching the website in April 2020, we’ve achieved even more than we could have initially hoped. Delivering almost 5000 orders of locally sourced products out to every corner of the UK. We’ve also had thousands of corporate orders from large and SMEs including Ryvita, Naked Wines and the BBC! We’re proud to have caught the judges’ eyes as a micro business with our marketing, social activity and sustainability efforts!
We are also privileged to have on board a great number of award-winning suppliers. Suppliers with fantastic award-winning products. This speaks volumes for our dedication and intent. We are capable and recognised for continuing to develop Local e Sourced. This alone raises our credibility. Offering award-winning products from award-winning suppliers raises the profile of both of us. Above all, the fact that we’ve been selected as winners over other businesses gives us enormous credibility as a business.
We’ve only been established since March 24th 2020. The online marketplace only launched officially on April 30th. We have continued to work hard and grow Local e Sourced. Growing it to a point now where we’ve been recognised on both a local and national level. Above all we’ve earned this recognition by doing what we’re doing and doing it well. You know that you’re joining and shopping with an online marketplace that is multi award-winning. This alone should add to the appeal of both joining us and shopping with us. We care about how we portray ourselves and how our online marketplace is judged. If we care about this, you know your business and your products are in safe hands! Your shopping experience will also be second to none too!
